Afterchakra, otherwise known as Cory Reddish, aka Dr Cory, has been bringing a vibration of elation and a spirit of play to the Shamanic Cheerleaders since early 2007. A native Los Angelino, she combines a strong hip-hop & pop influence with her studies of indigenous healing and spirituality to her craft of word-smithing poignant innuendos and witty cheers. She is the 'Co'-creative director and choreographer for the squad.
Along with her pre-med degree from UC San Diego, Cory received a minor in dance, focusing on modern and jazz performance. Her charismatic stage presence is inspired by the many dynamic dance and movement styles she has studied and/or taught including: hip-hop, West African, Acroyoga, Lindy hop/swing, can-can, Latin, and Nia.
She fulfills her commitment to inspiring health and happiness in the lives of those around her, on-stage as Afterchakra with the Shamanic Cheerleaders, and off-stage as Dr Cory, licensed Naturopathic Doctor. She has studied with Shamans from Columbia and Peru, learned traditional healing methods from across the globe, and been in private naturopathic medical practice for 10 years.
